One of the last steps in my stained glass is a thorough cleaning. Your product comes to you neutralized, with a coat of wax buffed to a shine. Glass cleaners are not recommended. Especially if the product contains ammonia and your piece has had patina applied to it. Patina is a chemical used to turn the solder lines a color other than silver; black, grey and copper are what I use most. Use warm, soapy water to clean your art glass and then apply a thin coat of car wax or any wax containing carnuba. Allow to dry and buff to a shine. Pledge furniture polish also works well. Oxidation (white crud of the solder lines) may occur over time. Use the finest grade of steel wool (0000) to lightly buff the oxidation out and follow washing instructions.
It is recommended to hang heavy pieces with ribbon, wire or chain. Tiger Tail wire is great for hanging pieces if you prefer a non-obtrusive look. It is a strong, thin nylon coated woven stainless steel wire.
Please use caution if you plan to hang your glass art with a suction cup. Wetting the cup with a dab of oil is better than water and letting it stick for 24 hours before hanging anything on it is suggested. On occasion, check that air has not formed between the suction cup and the window by pressing it down.
